How to configure a NETGEAR DSL Modem Router


Its very easy to configure the NETGEAR DSL Modem Router for internet connection using Netgear genie, smart wizard user interface or via internet cable connection. In case of Netgear genie connect the phone line via DSL Microfilter to the DSL port of the Netgear DSL modem router and if an existing DSL modem or router is connected to the network then you have to remove that.

Now open the browser which will automatically direct you to 192 168 0 1 router login net or Netgear genie set up the screen. Then you have to click on yes button after that you have to choose your country and click on next. Now you have to wait for at least one or two minutes as the setup wizard will detect your internet connection type.

 Now DSL connections are detected as PPPoE/PPPoA which required your login details so you have to fill the required username and password in given space. These login details like username and password are provided by the internet service provider to access their service and after filling the details you have to click on next button. 

Now router will process or apply the given connection settings. After this when the settings have applied a message will appear on the screen and says that congratulations you are connected to internet successfully. You can also verify this by clicking on take me to the internet. If this scenario fails then you have to contact your internet service provider and you can also visit websites like login-to-router.net for details about, smart wizard user interface or via internet cable connection configuration.
